The Portal of the European Consumer Center in Spain, https://cec.consumo.gob.es, has been created using HTML5 for content marking and CSS 3 style sheets for visual design, avoiding as much as possible use proprietary technologies that condition the use of certain devices or browsers. These standards guarantee access to information through any navigation device that supports the W3C recommendations: HTML5, CSS 3.0, level AA.

The styles used have been built following the recommendations of the W3C consortium, for version 3 of cascading style sheets and have been validated using the CSS code validation tool. It will open in a new window that the consortium provides, without detecting errors.

On the other hand, the HTML from which the different CSS are used has been validated, to verify that the analysis tree used is correct. The analysis has been carried out using the validation tool of the HTML code provided by the consortium, being the result of this positive analysis.

In case the user accesses the portal through a browser that does not support style sheets, the structural markup allows the correct display of all content. If the “no style” option is selected, the pages will be displayed without any visual format. The website is designed for responsive viewing, so it is displayed optimally on tablet and mobile devices.
